Cabot street studios
Tuesday from 7PM to 10PM: Opening Reception for Kristie Beiesecker!I graduated with a degree in Graphic and Interactive Design with a concentration in Photography from a small liberal arts school (Moravian College) in Bethlehem, Pa. Throughout my life I had interests in art, science, spirituality, symbolism, ancient history and mysticism. These interests led me to a "spiritual awakening" in which my intuition and psychic ability heightened, which opened a door for me in terms of spiritual, artistic and personal development. My interests combined with my "spiritual awakening" led me to research light, vibration and form in a scientific way. This research led me to a senior year art project in an Alternative Photography class at Moravian - exposing organic materials onto traditional photographic paper with electricity. The concept behind this contact print photography is that the auras that are produced are a life force energy within the organic materials and can only be captured if electricity is sent through the object. To me my artwork is a visual interpretation of the research and knowledge I have gained as an intellectual and spiritual being.
We are Beverly's newest artist community, located in the heart of the city on Cabot Street. Cabot Street Studios is scheduled to open its doors in late July and will be home to a variety of artists, ranging from fiber to photography to oil painting.
